Resistance Flexibility Training
To resistance stretch, start in position one and resist by pulling your arms away from each other as you laterally bend and open up the chest.

Resistance Strength Training
To strengthen, start in position three and resist by pulling your arms away from each other as you bring yourself up to standing.

Tip: You can also move your arms close to and away from your head (ie. your hands don't have to be directly above the center of your head).

Tip: Squeeze your legs together (try to scissor your legs) to isometrically workout your adductors.
