Tandem Leaning: Tandem Stretching & Strengthening

  • Read the introduction.
  • Lay on the ground side by side with your tandem partner.
  • Place the bottom of your foot on the bottom of their foot.
  • Lean into their foot as they lean into yours.
  • Push their foot away as they continue to lean into you.
  • Keep leaning into their foot as they push your foot back.

Reciprocal Lean: Isometric, Concentric, and Eccentric Contractions

Isometric Your leg is isometrically contracting as you lean into your partner's foot while they lean back.
Concentric Your leg is strengthening as you push their foot away from you.
Eccentric Your leg is resistance stretching as they push your foot toward you.
Reciprocal The same holds true for your tandem partner.
