Resistance Stretching Workshops

Discover the Meridian Flexibility System and re-define your view of the human body.

Learn the unique relationship between resistance, flexibility, and strength while also learning how to equip yourself with a powerful tool to tap into and upgrade your physical, spiritual, emotional, and psychological body.

During the Meridian Stretching workshop, you will learn how to:

stretch and strengthen yourself

get stretched and strengthened

stretch and strengthen others

get mashed and mash others

The workshop is designed to be an introduction to Self Stretching, Assisted Stretching, Tandem Stretching, and Meridian Mashing. We will review each of the high and low physiological, spiritual, emotional, and psychological attributes associated with each of the 16 Meridian Muscle Groups. We will also learn about the 16 Genetic Personality Types and how this relates to stretching and strengthening the body.

They are appropriate for all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

The majority of my workshops are helpful and appropriate for most anyone. The usual age range is from ten years old to seventy years young. Some participants are not very fit and so come to start getting back into shape again, while others are serious athletes who want to increase strength and flexibility.

Most people have no prior training or experience. Yet Yoga, Pilates, and strength trainers often come to expand their knowledge base.

They don't require you to own any fancy equipment.

Though I do recommend that you bring a yoga mat and yoga strap, if you don't have these I will provide them for you.

They include lots of physical activity, but you work at your own pace.

All of my workshops include lots of physical student participation. That's the best way to really learn a physical concept like stretching. So expect to get a good workout and maybe even sweat. However, I will work with you and encourage you to work at your own comfortable pace.

During a typical workshop, some people take breaks every five minutes while others are sweating up a storm and hardly ever stop. People are that different.

In addition to me working with you and directing the workshop through stretches, each individual can tailor it to themselves by making it as aerobic or strengthening as their body desires. This is the beauty of being your own piece of exercise equipment, you don’t have to keep getting up to change the weights!

I recommend wearing comfortable workout clothing.

Since you will be doing physical exercise, wear or bring appropriate clothing. You can change on site. Shorts and a tee shirt are fine, but some people wear jogging suits or tights. You can be in socks or bare feet.

There are handouts to take home with you along with access to the Flexible Strength Training Archive.

My goal is that you experience an immediate and obvious increase in flexibility during the workshop. But I also want you to keep stretching once you get home so that you continue to increase your flexibility. To make this easy, I send you home with handouts of all the concepts that were covered in the workshop along with free access to the Flexible Strength Training Archive to help you remember what we covered.

I prefer that you arrive early so we can begin on time.

I ask that you arrive about 5 minutes earlier than the workshop start time. That will allow you to register, receive handouts, settle into your place, and use the bathrooms before we start.

Expect to have fun and feel really relaxed at the end.

Although I think that stretching is serious business, joy is also a big part of life. And so I stress fun and enjoyment in all of my workshops. I encourage you to really apply yourself during the workshop and work to the best of your ability, but I also do my best to make it a fun and joyful experience.


RFST Preview Workshop

Host a Workshop: Gather together a group of people and a space and I will travel to your location for a RFST workshop. As the event organizer, you may attend the workshop or have an assisted stretching private session for free.

Hosting a workshop is a great way to come together with your friends or family and do something out of the ordinary that benefits everyone involved. It's also fun!

How it Works: The preview workshop is a must for anyone who is considering adding Meridian Stretching to their health routine.

Contracting and elongating our muscles creates a highly beneficial resistance stretch but most people have not conditioned their muscles in this way throughout their entire life! As a result, it can be challenging to learn how to properly resist while stretching by using the book alone. That is why I recommend the preview workshop for all new clients in order to really nail down the concept of resisting while stretching.

My workshops provide the perfect space to address any questions or concerns you may have about a particular stretch. The workshop is also suited for those who have never practiced or even heard of Resistance Stretching.

In a small group setting, you will learn and practice self stretching, assisted stretching, tandem stretching, and mashing.
Other: - You will be provided with handouts and free access to the Flexible Strength Training Archive.

- Personal mat recommended.

- Bring or wear comfortable exercise clothes.

- Empty stomach or light snack before, but don't come hungry.

- Drink plenty of water.
